By using UkeBuddy.com, you agree to these terms.

UkeBuddy is for personal, non-commercial learning: tuning, chords, scales, and playing along with song tabs. You may not use bots, scrapers, or similar tools to extract or copy our content in bulk; republish or mirror our catalog elsewhere; or bypass rate limits or other access controls. Normal search-engine indexing is fine. Republishing extracted content is not.

We may block access or take other action for violations. We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the changes.

Membership Terms

UkeBuddy Star is an optional yearly membership. It is sold through Link, Stripe's checkout service, which is the seller for your purchase and handles payment, tax, and receipts. Every song and tool on UkeBuddy stays free without it.

Price and renewal. Membership is billed once a year at the price shown at checkout, which includes any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live. The charge appears on your card statement from Link. Membership renews automatically each year until you cancel. There is no free trial.

Cancelling. Cancel any time from Manage billing on your account page. You keep your membership until the end of the year you paid for and are not charged again.

Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, your membership continues for 7 days while you update your card in Manage billing. After that, your account returns to the free plan.

Refunds. Within 14 days of a charge, you can ask for a full refund by emailing support[at]ukebuddy.com. Refunds are at our discretion, and we do not give partial refunds. Link support can also help with payment questions and may refund a purchase within 60 days. A full refund, from us or from Link, ends the membership right away.

Include your signature, the copyrighted work, the UkeBuddy URL(s), your full contact information (name, address, phone, email), a statement that you believe the use is not authorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act for the copyright owner.

Incomplete notices may delay our response.

Privacy Policy

At UkeBuddy, we recognize that privacy of your personal information is important. This section explains what types of personal information we collect when you use ukebuddy.com and how it is used.

We use first-party cookies and browser storage to remember your settings and support site features between visits. Some activity may be linked to your account when you sign in, and signed-in features may sync across devices.

As with most other websites, we collect and use the data contained in log files. The information in the log files includes your IP address, the browser you used to visit our site, the time you visited our site, and which pages you visited throughout our site.

We use third party advertisements and analytics on ukebuddy.com, including Raptive and Google Analytics. These partners may use cookies and similar technologies which transmit information (such as IP address, browser, and pages visited) for ad personalization, measurement, and site improvement. We may "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under certain U.S. state laws. You can opt out of such sale or sharing by enabling a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser; we honor GPC.

CMI Marketing, Inc., d/b/a Raptive ("Raptive") is a service provider of this Site for the purposes of placing advertising on the Site, and Raptive will collect and use certain data for advertising purposes. If you buy a membership, Stripe and Link process your payment details under the Stripe Privacy Policy and the Link Privacy Policy. UkeBuddy never sees or stores your card number; we keep your membership status and a Stripe customer ID with your account.

If you sync your saved Jam progressions as a UkeBuddy Star, we store them with your account so they appear on your other devices. When your membership ends, that copy stops updating and stays with your account until you delete the account; the progressions saved in your browser stay too.

You can choose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in your browser. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites. This could include the inability to login to services or programs, such as logging into forums or accounts.

Some features require access to your device's microphone. Your browser will ask for permission before access is granted. Microphone audio is used only to provide those features and is not retained or shared with third parties.
