The A Dorian scale has the formula 1, 2, b3, 4, 5, 6, b7 with notes A, B, C, D, E, F#, G
The Dorian scale is the second of the seven modes, and is considered a type of minor scale. It is distinguished from the minor scale by having a major 6th note. This scale is often used in popular music in place of the natural minor scale.
